Thanet Toastmaster | Your Wedding Day | Wedding Toastmaster Co-ordinator

A wedding is very special - a day to treasure and remember forever

a Professional Toastmaster will be the key to ensuring that your hopes and expectations are realised, leaving you free of worry and stress and to fully enjoy a day free of stress and worry

Here are a few ways in which the bespoke toastmaster can ensure everything runs smoothly

a civil ceremony

(whole day at same location)

  • Liaise with the venue staff and ensure all is ready

  • Arrange for the soon to be wedded couple to meet the Registrar’s

  • Greet guests and ensure they are seated before the Ceremony

  • Announce wedding party into the ceremony, (if required by registrar)

  • At the conclusion of the ceremony, inform guests of what happens next, direct them to location for drinks reception and photographs

a church ceremony

  • Meet and greet guests

  • After the ceremony, assist the photographer as required

  • Assist the couple into wedding car for departure to the reception venue

Although its generally not necessary for me to attend the church if you have ushers who can welcome guests and assist the photographer. This gives me time to arrive at the wedding breakfast venue well ahead of your arrival to check all is ready and liaise with the venue coordinator. All of this would be discussed at our pre wedding chat

It is your wedding and how the day runs is entirely up to you, IT can be as formal, or as informal as you wish and as your toastmaster I will talk with you at length to assist in planning a day that suits you perfectly

WHY do i need A TOASTMASTER FOR MY WEDDING

You want your wedding day to be perfect and so do I. You may employ a professional photographer, caterers, musicians and others because you wish  to leave nothing to chance.

But for all this to run smoothly, you will need someone to coordinate the day for you. This is where a toastmaster in invaluable.

Greet your guests.

Liaise with your banqueting manager to ensure all running on time.

If photographer is running late and delaying proceedings, inform the catering manager.

Ensure your guests are seated at the correct time.

Let guests making speeches know when it is their turn to speak, put them at ease and introduce them.

Liaise with the photographer so that they do not miss the cutting the cake or important parts of your day.

Make sure the band/ DJ are ready to play for dancing and that the photographer/ videographer are ready to capture the couple's first dance.

The visual impact of your Toastmaster in full traditional regalia of magnificent red tailcoat and white gloves, etc will give your guests, venue staff and other agents a friendly and calming figure to reassure everyone.

Announcements and introductions will be made in the appropriate style, either formally or informally, as the occasion requires and will be made clearly, accurately and briefly.

doesn’t the BEST MAN or woman LOOK AFTER THE DETAILS

For wedding guests, the announcements a toastmaster will make, may be the only visible signs of the difference that they bring to the occasion.

This is merely the 'tip of the iceberg', much of what a capable Toastmaster does is never seen by guests. They are unaware what has gone on before and is going on behind the scenes, careful planning, etc. Not seeing the discreet and close attention to detail throughout the whole day that ensures everything runs smoothly.

A Toastmaster, professionally trained and qualified is an expert in procedure and etiquette, using tact, diplomacy and management skills, they will ensure the smooth running of your event.

The Best Man / Woman, however, is chosen because he is a close to them. have been honoured by being asked to take on the role and you want them to participate in and enjoy the big day to the full. They may have little or no knowledge and experience of the hospitality industry. They are a friend, and should be treated as one by not being burdened with the responsibility of making sure all runs smoothly, thats what your toastmaster is there for.
